## About Izky

Izky is a hotel complex at the foot of Magura-Zhyde, on the Borzhava ridge, in the Khust district of Zakarpattia. It is built around its own ski area: about 6 km of runs between 600 and 767 m, served by a chairlift and a short drag lift. The slopes are low, so the resort relies on its snowmaking.

It is a place to stay rather than a big ski area: the hotel, the slope and the ski school are a few steps apart, which suits families and first-timers. In 2025/26 the drag lift was running by 3 January, and the chairlift started the same day.

## Where lessons start

Beginners have a 150 m drag lift of their own, and the complex has its own ski school, so a first lesson starts a few steps from the hotel. Once you can link turns, the chairlift opens up the rest of the slope.

## Getting there

The nearest railway stations are Skotarske and Volovets, both about 22 km away, on the line from Lviv to Mukachevo. By road Izky is about 90 km from Mukachevo.

## Instructors at Izky

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Izky good for a family ski trip?

Yes, for a short one. The hotel, the beginners' lift and the ski school are side by side, and snowmaking keeps the low slope open. Keen skiers will run out of terrain in a day or two; Podobovets, on the same ridge, adds a little more.
