## About Krasiya

Krasiya stands above the village of Vyshka, in the Uzhhorod district of Zakarpattia, near the Slovak border. It was already a large ski area in Soviet times and has been rebuilt around two chairlifts and a drag lift; its main run, about 3.5 km with 600 m of vertical, is what the resort calls the longest in Ukraine. Altogether there are about 8.5 km of runs between 491 and 1,036 m.

It has snowmaking, and the lifts run from 9 am to 5 pm. Being low and far to the west, it has a shorter season than the resorts of Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk: in 2025/26 it opened on 7 January and its last ski weekend was 7–8 March. The resort's own school gives lessons on the gentle slopes at the bottom.

## Where lessons start

The resort has gentle slopes for beginners and its own school, which charged about 1,100 hryvnias an hour in 2025/26. The long main run, 3.5 km with 600 m of vertical, is for once you are comfortable on longer, steeper slopes.

## Getting there

The nearest railway station is Kostryna, about 10 km away, on the line from Lviv through Sambir to Uzhhorod. By road Uzhhorod is about 70 km away; it is also where the trains from Budapest and Vienna arrive.

## Frequently asked questions

### How long is the main run at Krasiya?

About 3.5 km, with 600 m of vertical, from the top of the chairlifts to the bottom; the resort calls it the longest ski run in Ukraine. It is the reason to come, but it is low, so it needs a cold winter or the snowmaking to be in good shape.
