## About Le Lioran

Le Lioran is the largest ski area in the Massif Central, on the Plomb du Cantal — part of what was once the biggest volcano in Europe, a complex some 70 km across whose eroded remains now make up the whole Cantal massif.

The skiing runs through beech and pine forest, which makes it comfortable in poor light, and it is a long way from the Alps in every sense.
