## About Madonna di Campiglio

Madonna di Campiglio is the smart resort of Trentino, sitting between the Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers of the Adamello group, with a pedestrian centre that has been fashionable since the Habsburgs came here.

The skiing is well-groomed, mostly intermediate, and links out to Pinzolo on one side and Folgarida-Marilleva on the other for around 150 km on one pass. The signature event is the 3Tre, a floodlit World Cup night slalom on the Canalone Miramonti that runs straight into the village and is one of the best spectator evenings in ski racing.

## Where lessons start

There is good, accessible beginner terrain close to the village, and the resort's grooming culture means the learning slopes are consistently in decent shape. The Grostè sector, high under the Brenta, holds the better snow later in the season.

## Getting there

Verona is about two hours, Milan around three. The road up from the Val Rendena is good but winding.

Teaching for payment in Italy requires the Maestro di sci, registered in the regional albo, issued by Collegio regionale dei maestri di sci.

## Frequently asked questions

### What does the Madonna di Campiglio lift pass include?

The Skiarea Campiglio pass covers Madonna di Campiglio itself plus the linked slopes of Pinzolo on one side and Folgarida-Marilleva on the other — around 150 km on one ticket. With lessons you will spend the first days close to the village, so a local-only option is worth asking about; the full area is for once the group can cruise.

### When is the 3Tre night slalom, and should I plan a trip around it?

The 3Tre is a World Cup men's slalom run under floodlights on the Canalone Miramonti, which finishes right in the village, usually around the turn of the year. It is one of the best evenings in ski racing to watch, but the resort is full that week and prices reflect it. If your priority is quiet pistes and lessons, mid-January is calmer.
