## About Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise

Sainte-Foy sits between Les Arcs and Val d'Isère and is a fraction of the size of either, which is exactly why the people who know it are protective of it. Four lifts, no queues, and off-piste terrain that keeps its powder for days after the famous resorts have been tracked out by ten in the morning.

The village is stone-built and quiet. This is a skier's resort rather than a holiday resort.

## Where lessons start

There is a beginner area and it is peaceful, but the reason to book an instructor here is the off-piste: this is one of the best places in the Tarentaise to take a first proper look at ungroomed snow with someone who knows the aspects.

## Getting there

Bourg-Saint-Maurice is about 20 minutes on the road up to Val d'Isère.

## Instructors at Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Sainte-Foy worth it if I do not ski off-piste?

Only if you value quiet above everything. It has four lifts, no queues, a peaceful beginner area and a stone-built village, but the reason people book an instructor here is the off-piste, which keeps its powder for days after the big resorts are tracked out. For piste mileage, Les Arcs and Val d'Isère are nearby.
