## About Ski Civetta

Ski Civetta is the biggest area in the Veneto Dolomites, linking Alleghe, Selva di Cadore and Zoldo beneath the north-west face of Monte Civetta — a wall of rock over a kilometre high that is one of the great climbing faces of the Alps.

It gets a fraction of the traffic of the Sella valleys and costs less, while sitting on the same Dolomiti Superski pass.

## Where lessons start

Quiet, varied and good value, with the lake at Alleghe below. A sensible choice if the Sella Ronda crowds are the thing you want to avoid.

## Getting there

Venice is around two hours, Belluno about an hour.

## Instructors at Ski Civetta

_No instructors have joined here yet._

## Qualifications required in Italy

Teaching for payment in Italy requires the Maestro di sci, registered in the regional albo, issued by Collegio regionale dei maestri di sci.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which is the best base in Ski Civetta?

Alleghe, on the lake, is the most complete village and where most people stay; Zoldo and Selva di Cadore are quieter and give the same access to the linked area. Wherever you base, the pistes are on the Dolomiti Superski pass, so a day in the Sellaronda valleys is a drive away when you want it — with far fewer people on the Civetta slopes themselves.
