About La Parva
La Parva is the most village-like of the three Santiago resorts — a cluster of privately owned chalets rather than a hotel block — and it has a following among Santiago families who have been coming for generations.
Being in the southern hemisphere, its south-facing slopes are the shaded ones, so they hold snow better than the sunnier aspects nearby. It links on one ticket with El Colorado and Valle Nevado.

Where lessons start
Quieter than Valle Nevado and with a family atmosphere. Same altitude caveat as the rest of the Tres Valles: tell your instructor if you flew in that morning.

Santiago is around an hour and a half up the same switchback road; chains are often required after a storm.
