View schoolHow Alpine Pal works
Alpine Pal is an international marketplace for ski and snowboard lessons: private lessons with the instructor you choose, seats in group lessons, and hours booked straight with a ski school. Instructors, independent or from a ski school, at 288 resorts in 15 countries list their hourly rate and availability. You compare their profiles, message the one you like before booking, and pay through the platform, which holds the money until the lesson has happened. Alpine Pal keeps a 10% commission; the instructor or the school receives the rest.

Why book with Alpine Pal
Questions about Alpine Pal
What is Alpine Pal?
A marketplace where you book a ski or snowboard lesson directly with a specific instructor, independent or from a ski school. Every instructor has a public profile with their qualification, the resorts they teach at, the languages they teach in, their price and their reviews. You choose the appropriate instructor.
How much does a private lesson cost?
Whatever the instructor has set as their hourly rate — it is shown on their profile and it is the figure you pay. There is no booking fee, no subscription and no card surcharge. Alpine Pal keeps 10% of the price and the instructor keeps 90%. Lift passes, equipment hire and insurance are not part of a lesson: those come from the resort.
Can I book a group lesson, or book with a ski school?
Yes, wherever an instructor or a school offers it. A group lesson has a fixed date and states its level and who it is for — children, adults or everyone — and you pay for one seat at the price per person shown; your seat is confirmed as soon as the payment goes through, and you can cancel it with a full refund up to 48 hours before the class, unless the instructor or school asks for more notice, which you see before you pay. Some schools also sell hours without naming the teacher: you pick the time and the school assigns an instructor from its team, whom you meet at the meeting point. Both appear in the search beside the private lessons.
Where can I book a lesson?
In 15 countries and 288 ski resorts across the Pyrenees, the Alps, the Andes, the Rockies, Japan and New Zealand. Each country page explains the terrain, the season and the qualification an instructor needs there, and each resort page lists who teaches at that resort.
Are the instructors qualified?
Two paths lead to a profile on Alpine Pal. An independent instructor sends us their documents and a person checks them before the profile goes live; the qualification is marked as verified only once we have actually checked it, and identity only once Stripe has verified it, when they set up their payouts. An instructor invited by an authorised ski school is vouched for by that school: we review the school, not each of its instructors, and the profile names the school that stands behind them. In countries where teaching for money is legally regulated — France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and Andorra — the country page names the credential required and links to the public register where one exists.
What happens if the instructor cannot take me?
You are refunded in full, automatically. An instructor has 48 hours to accept a paid request; if they decline or let it run out, the payment comes straight back. Once a lesson is confirmed you can still cancel with a full refund up to 48 hours before it starts, unless the instructor or their school asks for more notice, which you always see before you pay.
