About Le Mont-Dore
Le Mont-Dore is a Belle-Époque spa town at the foot of the Puy de Sancy, the highest point of the Massif Central at 1,886 m. A cable car climbs from the valley to near the summit.
The thermal establishment is a grand nineteenth-century building still in use, and the town has a character that its ski-area size would not otherwise support.
