Les Saisies sits on a broad sunny plateau between the Beaufortain and the Val d'Arly, with one of the best Mont Blanc panoramas in the Alps directly in front of it. It anchors the Espace Diamant, around 190 km linking five villages.

It also has one of the strongest cross-country traditions in France — it hosted the nordic events of the 1992 Albertville Olympics — and the plateau is laced with trails.

Qualifications required in France

Teaching skiing or snowboarding for payment in France is a regulated profession: an instructor must hold the Professional card (diplôme d'État de ski). Instructors listed as certified on Alpine Pal have either sent theirs to us for review or are vouched for by the ski school that invited them.
