About Podobovets
Podobovets is a village in the Khust district of Zakarpattia, below Polonyna Borzhava, a long, grassy ridge of the Carpathians. Its ski area is a handful of drag lifts on the slope above the village, with about 6 km of runs between about 725 and 1,085 m; Izky is on the same ridge, a few kilometres to the south-east.
There are three drag lifts: two long ones, of about 1.23 and 1.25 km with around 360 m of vertical, and a short beginners' lift by the village, the only one floodlit in the evening. In 2025/26 the area opened on 8 January. We found no mention of snowmaking, so the season follows the natural snow. Lessons are given at the Podobovets-2000 base.

Where lessons start
First lessons are on the small beginners' drag lift, about 400 m long with 80 m of vertical, which is floodlit for the evening; children up to ten get a discount. The two long drag lifts, of about 1.2 km each, are the next step, and riding them is a skill of its own.
Getting there
The nearest railway stations are Skotarske and Volovets, both about 15 km away, on the line from Lviv to Mukachevo; in the 2025/26 holidays the Lviv–Chop train stopped at Volovets. By road Podobovets is about 85 km from Mukachevo and 170 km from Lviv.
