About San Martino di Castrozza
San Martino di Castrozza sits directly beneath the Pale di San Martino, a wall of pale vertical rock that is among the most striking things in the Dolomites — the massif turns pink at sunset in the phenomenon locals call the *enrosadira*.
The skiing is broad and well groomed, spread over three sectors, and considerably quieter than the Sella Ronda valleys.

Is San Martino di Castrozza good for families and beginners?
Yes, one of the friendliest Dolomite valleys for a first week. The blue terrain is wide and meticulously prepared, the beginner areas are genuinely separate from the fast traffic, and the whole place is much quieter than the Sellaronda valleys while sitting on the same Dolomiti Superski pass. The three sectors are spread out, so agree with your instructor where you are meeting.
