About Bardonecchia
Bardonecchia sits at the Italian mouth of the Fréjus tunnel, which makes it one of the easiest Italian resorts to reach from France, and it hosted the snowboard events of the 2006 Turin Olympics.
That legacy shows: the snowpark here remains one of the best in Italy, and the resort has a young, freestyle-leaning character that sets it apart from the Via Lattea villages next door.

Is Bardonecchia part of the Via Lattea?
No — it is a separate ski area with its own pass, next door to the Via Lattea villages but not linked on snow. What it has instead is a strong character of its own: one of the best snowparks in Italy, a legacy of the 2006 Olympic snowboard events, and sunny slopes with good beginner terrain. Bardonecchia and the Via Lattea can be combined by car or by train via Oulx if you want both in a week.
Can I get to Bardonecchia by train?
Yes, easily: Bardonecchia has its own railway station on the Paris–Turin line, with the slopes a short walk or shuttle ride away, which makes it one of the most car-free-friendly resorts in Italy. Turin is around an hour and a quarter by road, and the Fréjus tunnel puts it minutes from France.
