About Cerro Bayo
Cerro Bayo rises above Villa La Angostura, on the northern shore of the Nahuel Huapi, and its defining feature is the view: the runs face the lake, and you ski towards water and forest the whole way down.
It is much smaller and calmer than Catedral an hour south, and the village below is one of the prettiest in Argentine Patagonia.

Is Cerro Bayo good for a first week?
Yes. It is compact and quiet, which for a beginner is worth more than size, and the runs face the Nahuel Huapi lake, so even the nursery slopes have the view. Villa La Angostura is a comfortable base with far less bustle than Bariloche, and Bariloche airport is around an hour away. The season runs mid-June to early October.
