About Gavarnie-Gèdre
The Cirque de Gavarnie is a natural amphitheatre 1,500 m high and 800 m across, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the most photographed landform in the Pyrenees. The small ski area faces it.
The skiing is modest; the setting is not. Go for the view and the quiet, not for the kilometres.

Go for the setting, not the kilometres. The small ski area faces the UNESCO-listed Cirque de Gavarnie, and it is calm enough for a first contact with snow, but the skiing itself is modest. Lourdes is about an hour away.
