Les Sept Laux spreads across three bases in the Belledonne range above the Grésivaudan valley, and it is considerably bigger than most people expect — around 120 km, with a serious freeride following among skiers from Grenoble and Chambéry.
It gets very little international traffic, which is most of its charm.

Grenoble is around 45 minutes, Chambéry about an hour.
Qualifications required in France
Teaching skiing or snowboarding for payment in France is a regulated profession: an instructor must hold the Professional card (diplôme d'État de ski). Instructors listed as certified on Alpine Pal have either sent theirs to us for review or are vouched for by the ski school that invited them.
