About Monte Bondone
Monte Bondone rises directly above Trento, close enough that the city is visible from the pistes and reachable in around twenty minutes. It has been called the *terrace of Trento* since the nineteenth century, when it was already a summer retreat.
The skiing is wide, sunny and modest in scale — a city mountain rather than a destination.

Where lessons start
Ideal for a lesson that fits into a day rather than a week, and the wide open pistes give a beginner room. Busy at weekends with day visitors from the city.
Getting there
Trento is around 20 minutes, and the city is on the main Verona–Brenner railway.
Qualifications required in Italy
Teaching skiing or snowboarding for payment in Italy is a regulated profession: an instructor must hold the Maestro di sci, registered in the regional albo. Instructors listed as certified on Alpine Pal have either sent theirs to us for review or are vouched for by the ski school that invited them.

Can I get to Monte Bondone from Trento without a car?
Yes. Trento is on the main Verona–Brenner railway, and a local bus climbs from the city to the slopes in under an hour, so a lesson fits into a day trip from anywhere on that line. Go midweek if you can: at weekends the same convenience fills the pistes with day visitors from the city.
