Porté-Puymorens is small on paper and has a following out of all proportion to its lift count, because of what lies between and beyond the marked runs. It sits by the Puymorens pass on the road between the Ariège and the Cerdagne, high enough to hold cold snow.

It is the eastern Pyrenees resort that freeriders name when asked where they actually go.
