About Rainbow Ski Area
Rainbow is the northernmost ski field in the South Island, above St Arnaud in the Nelson Lakes national park, and it holds a longer season than its latitude suggests thanks to a sheltered, shaded basin.
It is the closest snow to Nelson and Blenheim, and quiet even by New Zealand standards.
