About Tukino
Tūkino is the club field on the eastern side of Ruapehu, and the access is the filter: the last stretch is unsealed and genuinely requires four-wheel drive. Very few people make the effort.
What is there is rope tows, volunteer-run lodges and an enormous amount of empty volcanic terrain.
